Help Contribute To The Website RFP
In February, the Town Commissioners voted 5-0 that the Town Manager should produce a Website Request for Proposal (RFP). After more than a month, I took it upon myself to do some research. I located Rehoboth Beach’s website RFP, adopted it for Dewey Beach, and in an attempt to help, sent it to the Town Manager for his feedback. The Town Manager made changes to the RFP. I assumed the next steps would be for the Commissioners and the public to make suggestions at the town meeting, followed by a second meeting in July which would finalize the public RFP. At the town meeting however, I was told by the Mayor and Commissioner Bauer that I violated the process and that we should let the Town Manager produce an RFP or we should have a website committee. Either of these options will likely mean additional months of delay. It’s already been 5 months!
As such, your feedback would be helpful. The current website is exceptionally vague and hard for new property owners or visitors to navigate or understand. Would you like a better town website? Click here to see the RFP and help contribute your feedback by emailing me.
